A New Home, Still Ours:
The Caribbean Diaspora and The Rooms it Lives in
What does Caribbean diasporic identity mean in a contemporary sense? This exhibition explores how identity moves and is shaped through the spaces we inhabit and the rituals we build.
Too often, Caribbean culture is framed through nostalgia or frozen in tradition. A New Home, Still Ours shifts the focus toward the realities of contemporary Caribbean life in Britain, where identity is shaped by movement, adaptation, memory, and everyday rituals.
Presented as a home rather than a display, the exhibition centres around a new body of work by ROLSTUDIO and features Sevian Witter, Lauren Alice Johns, over breakfast, Georgia Wesley, and BEEMCO.
Dates: 15.06.2026 – 21.06.2026
Location: Arbeit Studios — Daventry House, NW8 8FT
